When I was first
approached to write this Foreword by Caroline Wallis it presented me
with a slight dilemma. This was mainly due to the fact that I had
never written one before! What should I write about? And given that I am
not a literary critic what could I say?
However, on reflection, I
considered the proposition and came to the conclusion that what really
mattered was to state the obvious - and that is that Hotspots is
a lively, imaginative yarn that will carry you, the reader, through a
gripping and fast moving scenario.
Rather like an Air
Ambulance in fact - after all, some of the proceeds from this book are
being generously donated to help keep the Great Western Air Ambulance
flying. This new charity became operational in June 2008, filling
the last remaining gap in air ambulance cover in this country.
I hope that you will never
need to call on our services but it may be reassuring to know that
should the unthinkable happen, no matter who you are, where you may be
or whatever you may be doing, an air ambulance is not that far away to
bring you specialist medical care.
